Lack of Explanations

This book does a very poor job of explaining a complex subject. My general experience with physicists is that they expect students to just get it, and the author seems to have the same mindset. The book encourages the student to apply fundamental principles rather than just using a formula, but no effort is given to teaching the student how to arrive at this mindset. Hence, me and my classmates continue to view physics as an exercise in memorizing formulas rather than learning how to solve problems.
The online homework that accompanies this book also leaves much to be desired. Throughout the book, emphasis is placed on "estimating" and calculating a general result, while the online homework will require additional precision beyond what is allowed by significant figure rules.
If you are a professor considering using this book, please do your students a favor and use someone else.

Poor Editing

The information in this book is new, very inciteful and a great addition to the new healing techniques popping up
everywhere. The reason for 3 verses 5 stars was the very poor editing. Throughout the book, I ran across sentences
which did not make sense, with many of them so messed up, it was impossible to interpret the message she was
trying to get across. For the price of the book I would think they could afford a good editor so it would be more
readable.

Complete waste of money

I was very disappointed with this book. Very poor editing, many words/sentences make no sense, information referred to in the text is missing, references to tables missing, no clear instructions on her methods, references to an appendix which I can' t find anywhere in the book. I suspect the only way this book would be useful is if you had already taken one of her training programs. This was a very expensive book which provided me with no useable information. I tried to contact her but have received no response.

Book is unless you were trained in her modalities. Example from the book, "secure the master cell in the affected area. connect the cell to it's divine state. You do this either by connecting it to God or the scientific expression of truth. They are the same". Zero explanation on how to do these things...

Why Not 5 Stars?

Chris as always does a good job of teaching subnetting, but I wish there were fewer mistakes in his Kindle books. IMO, there are too many mistakes in this. If you tell me that 00010001 is 16 in one instance and then I see it as 17 in another, this is going to confuse the heck out of a beginner, and I'm not a beginner but sometimes even I lose what he is trying to teach when I'm going back to correct and then re-correct work that was correct!. I like Chris Bryant's work and I am using it a lot to study for my CCNA, but someone needs to proof his work, please!

Subnetting at it's easiest

I am currently renewing my Net+ and I completely forgot subnetting. So I looked around for various tutorials and bought a couple books to help out. The resources I found claimed to he simple and easy to understand, but they just lost me further or I would forget their methods the next day when testing myself.

So I searched further for material to help, and I found this gem. Yes, the low price seems like a steal and you get what you pay for; can't be good, right? Wrong! This is simply the most easy to follow subnetting material I have read. If you're struggling with subnetting or binary math, get this ebook and be confused no more. Chris is excellent in his ways of teaching the material. A shame he wasn't my networking teacher.

I got it free and I want to send Amazon a bill for my time. First, it's 50 pages and you have a print edition? Seriously.

There's a ten page rule. If in ten pages, I want to hang myself I'm not finishing the book, if this can be called that. It's one long stream of consciousness of a stupid chick who likes to be shat on by men, essentially. She begins by handing herself over to some guy to control. This is a draw? She is weak, vapid and stupid. I got that in six pages. Also the writing is juvenile quality and the dialogue,,, there are no words. Grrr.

Alan Short is Head of the Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge, UK and is also the Principle of Short & Associates architectural practice. He is also Chairman of SCRI and an active member of the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction. Oh for some lucid prose

I rarely bail out of a book after one chapter, but the artsy-fartsy, semi-stream of consciousness, perhaps impressionistic prose just made me gag. The characters were those about whom one could have no feeling either way.
If you want to read good Norse detective fiction start with Mai Sjowall and Per Wahloo and work your way up with Henning Mankell, Helen Tursten, Jussi Adler Olsen, Hakan Nesser, Camilla Lackberg, Jo Nesbo, Arnaldur Indriathson, or Leif GW Persson.

When you see a book marked as "A Thriller", you know that you are in deep and murky waters.

The thought of dropping this book off at the local senior center makes me feel I am a sadist.

As much suspense as you will find in any novel this summer

Those of us who enjoyed MIDWINTER BLOOD by Mons Kallentoft last year --- and anyone else who is partial to hair-raising mysteries --- will rejoice at the publication of SUMMER DEATH. This second in the series of Malin Fors novels fulfills and exceeds the promise of its predecessor, combining the elements of a puzzling murder mystery, a chilling villain, and as much suspense as any novel you will read this year.

Malin Fors is a somewhat troubled police inspector in the municipality of Linkoping, located in south-central Sweden. There have been at least five books published in the series to date; SUMMER DEATH, originally released in Sweden in 2008, comes to us through the fine translation efforts of Neil Smith, who sharply captures and presents the personality nuances of Fors, her family, and, perhaps most importantly, her fellow officers on the Linkoping police force. Fors is the divorced mother of a teenage daughter and, as might be expected, is caught between the twin towers of career and parenthood, even as she attempts to sort out what went wrong with her marriage some 10 years previously.

As SUMMER DEATH opens, Fors's daughter and ex-husband are on vacation in Mali, while what Fors is experiencing is anything but a holiday. A raging fire in the wilderness surrounding the city seems to increase in ferocity by the day and defies the brave efforts of the firefighters tasked with controlling and extinguishing it. While the fire and an unseasonably warm summer function as an ever-present and uneasy backdrop to the book, Fors has more pressing professional concerns.

They begin when a teenage girl is found sexually assaulted and drugged in a park, while nearly simultaneously, another girl goes missing. The investigating team, which Fors is heading up, almost reflexively concludes that the two incidents are connected, which is confirmed by a tragic event in which subsequent forensic discoveries play a major part. Fors is also convinced that two friends of one of the girls know far more than they are admitting to, which proves to be dead-on as well.

Soon the problem isn't so much that the Linkoping police force lacks for suspects in the case as that it could be any of them --- or none of them. And when a third victim is discovered, it becomes clear that the killer is by no means finished. Fors continues kicking over rocks and tugging at slender threads of evidence, attracting the attention of the killer who, in turn, decides to make the hunt personal in more ways than Fors ever could've anticipated.

Thrillers frequently employ a "ticking clock," or what is also called an "option exhaustion," as a device to propel the action in the book, particularly at the conclusion. SUMMER DEATH has a ticking clock as loud as the internal workings of Big Ben. You simply will not be able to read the last 70 pages or so quickly enough, even though you may well be afraid of what you will discover at the end.

Summertime death

This is the first time I have said enough is enough and shut down a book.
I have read hundred and hundred of books and I can usually hang in and finish.
Some of the kindle cheapies have been a challenge but this one beat me.
The never ending waffle about heat waves...fires (nothing to do with the story line)
Thoughts about the ex and daughter holidaying in Bali!!! Could not work out what tense it was supposed to be in. How much to drink
Where to go for a drink. Thoughts of personal life..excersising and on and on ... The actual story could
Probably been completed in 20% of the book. I bailed at 63% that was a marathon!!
